Coast Guard Band Offering Free Concert Today

Annual Holiday Show Caps Year

The Coast Guard Band will wrap up a year of performances in New London with their annual holiday concert today.

The performance, which is free and open to the public, begins at 2 p.m. at the . According to a press release by Musician First Class Brooke Allen, who plays bassoon and also serves in the Public Affairs Office, the concert will include Christmas carols as well as "beautiful and celebrative concert music inspired by the season."

Noted musicians in this year's performance are Musician First Class Megan Sesma, a harp soloist; Musician First Class Tom Brown, a trumpeter; and Chief Musicians Gino Villarreal and Kelly Watkins, also trumpeters.
