America's Got Talent, Rescue Me, and Dance Moms

TV Picks for September 7

America’s Got Talent, 9 p.m., NBC

We actually did quite well this year, in terms of Top 10, in that only four of them are singers, and of those, one is a group. This bodes well for a non-singing champion. Four dance teams plus a motorcycle riding act made it this far, which also pleases me. Tonight, the top 4 are revealed, and in another example of why I love AGT, both Il Divo and Def Leppard perform, although sadly not together.

Rescue Me, 10 p.m., FX

Seven seasons. That’s a lot of liquor, a lot of illicit and nonsensical sex, a lot of death, a lot of cursing and a lot of extinguishing of fires. It all ends tonight: “After the fire, the members of 62 truck struggle to pick up the pieces; the new probies receive a familiar speech and stand before a new leader.”

Dance Moms, 10 p.m., Lifetime

There is a very funny blog called Things I Want To Punch In The Face that I follow. If you are like me and find yourself easily annoyed by pretty much everything around you, I suggest you check it out. This show falls into that category. In a huge way.
