ZBQ Smoked The Competition At New London's BBQ Contest

Twenty-six teams from New York to Baltimore participated in the KCBS CT state BBQ cook off on New London Waterfront Park.

The City of New London and the Downtown New London Association are proud to announce the winner of The Best Chef Competition. 

Twenty-six teams from New York to Baltimore participated in the KCBS CT state BBQ cook off on New London Waterfront Park, Sept 28 and 29. Teams competed in four categories, chicken, ribs, pork (shoulder or butt), and brisket. The team with the overall combined highest score was proclaimed Grand Champion.  

The teams were judged by official KCBS judges. State representative, Ernest Hewett was a guest judge. And the winners were: 

Grand Champions: ZBQ from Cumberland, Rhode Island
1st place chicken: Smokin’ Hoggz BBQ from Oceanside, New York
1st place ribs: Ack-Que, from New Canaan, Connecticut
1st place pork: ZBQ, of Cumberland, Rhode Island
1st place brisket: Myron Mixon Smokers of Waterford!
