Speeding along on gusty winds, the Lynx arrived at New London's Waterfront Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The 122-foot square topsail schooner, a replica of a War of 1812 privateer of the same name, gave two salutes of its deck guns. It made a few circuits around the Thames River, drawing in its sails before tying up at the floating docks at City Pier. The vessel will be in New London through Sunday and is open for public tours and sails.
