Batman told a room packed full of youngsters on Friday that he's not a big fan of Spiderman.
Wait, aren't they on the same side? Maybe, but the Dark Knight said the key difference was that Spiderman got his powers accidentally while he became a hero by using his head and reading up on his books. He said the kids could also do great things like design Batmobiles if they do a lot of reading.
The event, which kicked off the 's summer reading program, had Richard Markowitz in the role of Batman. Markowitz, a children's musician from South Salem, N.Y., performs Batman parties around the region with a variety of music and activities. He has a bachelor's degree from and Juris Doctorate from Duke University.
