New London's two Catholic schools will take part in Catholic Schools Week starting on Sunday, offering open houses and several other activities.
will offer a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. The school will also host open houses from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. will also offer an open house from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

- An opening liturgy and bilingual Mass at noon at the church on Sunday
- Community Quilt Day, 1 p.m. on Monday at the St. Mary Star of the Sea School
- Senior Citizen Tea, 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Assumption Hall
- Game Day, 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Assumption Hall
- Bingo, 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at Assumption Hall
- First Friday Mass and Blessing of the Throats, 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church
- Annual pasta supper and talent show, 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, at Assumption Hall.
Catholic Schools Week is celebrated on the week of Jan. 29 this year with the theme “Catholic Schools – Faith. Academics. Service.” It is the 39th year the week has been celebrated.
