Patch Team Taking Part In New London Penguin Plunge

We'll be among the hundreds of people taking a dip in the Long Island Sound next month

Last year, Patch helped support the Penguin Plunge and gave me the duty of taking the winter immersion in Long Island Sound. This year, a few other people are joining me in both the misery and fun of the event.

Patch.com has a team in Penguin Plunge, which will take place at noon on March 10 at Ocean Beach Park. So far Waterford Patch editor Paul Petrone and East Haven Patch editor Julie Weisberg have pledged to join in. As of Thursday afternoon, we've raised $215.

To donate to the "Patch Plungers," go to this site. All donations for this event benefit Special Olympics Connecticut.
