New London Tube: Steve Elci & Friends On The Train
Music video for the band shot entirely at the Essex Steam Train
Steve Elci and Friends have been keeping busy lately with performances and putting together a Saturday morning comic for this and other Patch sites. Several days after one of these comics , Elci shared the link to this music video on the Facebook page for the New London Patch.
The focus on the video? Trains, of course. The video was shot entirely in and around the , which typically take guests for a 12-mile, two and a half hour ride around Chester and Deep River. It includes a number of special trips as well, such as a murder mystery train, dinners, a Polar Express ride, and the circus train which makes an appearance in this video.
This song is included in the band's latest album, "Crayons in a Box." The group is a fairly young one, with Elci only transitioning to children's music in the past couple of years of his 25-plus years as a musician. The friends in the band are husband and wife duo Casey and Michele O'Neill. The band also gives recognition to the film crew here, namely director Dave Tusia, cameraman Jeep Bahner, and cameraman and editor Peter Schulze.

Steve Elci and Friends are probably making some music even as this goes up on the site, since they were scheduled to appear at 4:30 p.m. at the Quaker Hill Elementary School. The next chance to see them perform will be on Sept. 7, when they visit McCook Park in Niantic for a 6 p.m. show at Jeffrey's Rainbow Run.
