New London Tube: Obama's Commencement Speech

The White House has President Barack Obama's full speech to 2011 graduates of the Coast Guard Academy posted online

As one of only five service academies in the nation, the Coast Guard Academy is no stranger to presidential visits. Last year, President Barack Obama made his first stop at the academy to give the commencement address to the 229 cadets of the Class of 2011.

If you missed the President's address, the White House has uploaded the speech to YouTube. In this 20-minute commencement speech, Obama says the Coast Guard's mission has expanded over the past decade. Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, attended last year's commencement and will as the keynote speaker for the 2012 class. This commencement will take place on May 16.
