New London Parking Ban Ends At 6 p.m.

The parking ban did not apply to downtown New London.

Parking on the odd side of the street.
A parking ban that went into effect for New London today at 1:00 p.m. will be lifted at 6 p.m.

The parking ban was put in place everywhere except downtown New London to allow Public Works crews and Police access to city streets and to enable them to clear the streets of snow as quickly as possible.

Under New London winter street parking regulations, cars need to be parked on the odd side of the street.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until 5 p.m. today. Snow should taper off by the first part of the afternoon rush hour but snow and low temperatures are likely to create icy, hazardous driving conditions, so be careful on the roads.

No snow removal was done on my street. New London has the worse maintained winter roads in Southeastern, CT.
