New London Fire Fighters Lower The Flag To Half Staff

Gov. Daniel Malloy ordered all flags lowered following the death of 22-year-old Staff Sgt. Todd Lobraico, a New Fairfield resident who was killed in action on Thursday, September 5, in Afghanistan.

Some flag poles are a bit harder to reach than others, however, and it wasn't until Monday that New London Fire Fighters were able to get to the flag pole by New London Station. The flags will remain at half-mast until Lobraico has been laid to rest. A candlelight vigil was held for him in his hometown on Sunday
