New London Challenge: Shoreline Life Saving

Where can you find this portrayal of a life saving operation on the beach?

Last week's challenge:

A few people commenting on Facebook for last week's challenge got some of the people or groups honored by Williams Park, but not quite all.

The most obvious one is Nathan Hale, the Revolutionary War patriot who has a statue at the center of the park. The monument was put up in 1935 and mirrors one in City Hall Park in New York City. People also knew about the memorial dedicated to veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War as well as the one dedicated to Jewish war veterans.

Less well known is a small rock garden near Williams Street honoring Lewis L. Baker, New London's last surviving Civil War veteran. And as a bit of a trick question, Williams Park itself is named for Thomas Williams, who died in 1855. He was the son of Gen. William Williams, who owned a successful whaling firm and purchased the park in 1858 before donating it to the city.
