New London museums and landmarks are offering free admission, tours, and other events.

Quite a few of New London's locales are participating in Connecticut Open House Day this Saturday.

The annual event is coordinated by the Connecticut Office of Tourism, a division of the Department of Economic & Community Development," says the event's website.

In New London the Custom House Maritime Museum, Fort Trumbull State Park, Hempsted Houses and the Nathan Hale Schoolhouse are offering free admission and events during the day.
