Little-known fact: when the Whalie Awards kick off with their red carpet ceremony at 6 p.m. at Hygienic Art Park on May 25, that will also mark the quiet departure of an art exhibit within the gallery.
"The Crossing," an annual juried show that is in its eighth year, looks to unite artists from around the southeastern Connecticut region. The show has been up since April 27 and will be gone once the arrivals start for the local music awards.
The gallery is open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
