Hey, What Happened to My Blog Post on Patch?

Have you met our mischievous Patch Spambot yet? He's been getting in trouble a lot lately. Here's some tips on how to outsmart him.

Residents across Patch are blogging daily — writing about everythingtraining for a marathon to home design to local shoreline issues to animal control and pet care.

Many of our bloggers new and old are running into our "Friendly" Spambot, and getting accidentally stuck in our spam filter.

Have you received a rejection email from Patch? Not to worry!

Your blogs are still there — they just need to be released from the spam filter. You do not need to resubmit it or rewrite it! Simply click on the title of your blog post in the spam email and then click post now.

A few notes about our new Patch sites:

  • They work best with Google Chrome as your web browser. Try using Chrome if you are having trouble uploading and posting on Patch.
  • ALWAYS save a copy of your blog in another format. A great thing to do in case your computer freezes, the site slows down or you accidentally hit the delete button.
  • Did you receive a "spam" rejection? If our "spambot" caught your blog, email your community editor for help.
Wait. You're not blogging yet? Well, what are you waiting for?!? It's easy peasy to create your own space on the site. Just click through here and then: Happy posting!
