The Lighthouse Inn at 6 Guthrie Place has been vacant for a few years now, waiting for a buyer. A visit there now reveals several signs from , and the company has it up for sale for an asking price of $1.6 million.
What do you get for this hefty price tag? The hotel itself, which measures 22,000 square feet, plus the associated 9,000 square foot carriage house. There's also the restaurant space and access to Guthrie Beach. The listing includes several photos from the interior, showing guest rooms and a beauty salon.
We wrote about the Lighthouse Inn once before to showcase some of its history. It started out as a private vacation home, became a hotel in 1927, recovered from a 1979 fire, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Aside from that, it's also rumored to be haunted. The venture ultimately petered out amidst employee complaints and fraud charges.
