Five things to know for February 1

1. Were you hoping the recent warmth was here to stay? Too bad, winter's back today as the temperature tops out at 32 degrees and dips to 17 degrees overnight. Mostly cloudy and windy with a small chance of flurries. Sunrise is 7 a.m., sunset is 5:05 p.m.

2. The Outskate Hunger food drive kicks off tonight and continues every Friday in February. Bring a non-perishable food item to the Rink at Parade Plaza between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to get free admission and skate rental.

3. The latest in Hygienic XXXIV events is Fashion in the Ballroom, starting at 8 p.m. tonight at the Crocker House Ballroom. Stop in to check out some local designs and musical guests. The suggested donation is $10.
