Daily Five: More Cancellations, NEAR Shoemaker, Chorus Line

Five things to know for February 12

1. Snow showers are in the forecast for Thursday and the weekend. But today it's partly cloudy with temperatures reaching 38 degrees and dropping to 25 degrees overnight. Sunrise is 6:47 a.m., sunset is 5:19 p.m.

2. Some things are coming back, some aren't. City offices reopen today but New London Public Schools are closed and trash/recycling pickup will not take place. The Penguin Plunge fundraiser for the Special Olympics has been moved from Sunday to March 10. Gives you more time to support the Patch Plungers, you know.

3. The Garde Arts Center brings in the Broadway performance A Chorus Line today and Wednesday. Both performances start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $60.
