Five things to know for November 28

1. After some sloppy conditions on Tuesday, the sun returns today and is up for a partly cloudy day from 6:52 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. The high temperature hits 43 degrees.

2. New London Landmarks’ final “Beyond the Bridges” workshops runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Winthrop School library. Peter Miniutti and Madeline Schad lead this workshop, which tonight focuses on visions for Riverside Park and the Hodges Square neighborhood.

3. Mahvish Khan holds a lecture this evening on her experience as an interpreter for defense attorneys at the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. The event is part of Connecticut College’s series on human rights and begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Blaustein Humanities Center.
