Daily Five: Easter Egg Hunt, Candy Fundraiser, Fill The Spot

Five things to know for March 30

1. Another lovely day, sunny with a high temperature of 53 degrees. A clear night with a low of 35. Sunrise is 6:34 a.m., sunset is 7:12 p.m.

2. An Easter egg hunt will take place this morning at Ocean Beach Park. This is open to children in kindergarten through fifth grade and runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

3. A candy buffet at 2 Wives Pizza will benefit the Matthew Chew Memorial Scholarship for the Arts both today and Sunday. Stop in between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. to scoop up some sweeties and support this cause.

4. Share your ideas for what businesses and services New London would benefit from. Fill The Spot profiles empty storefronts in the city and asks for proposals on what should move in. This runs every Saturday, posting today at noon.

5. It’s Land Day in the Holy Land. This is an annual set of protests held by Israeli Arabs and Palestinians to protest Israeli land policies.
