Coast Guard Superintendent Named To Newsweek's '150 Women Who Shake The World' List

U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Sandra L. Stosz is the first woman to lead a U.S. Military Academy as superintendent

 

Newsweek has named U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Sandra L. Stosz to its list of "150 Women Who Shake the World."

As the first woman to serve as superintendent at a U.S. Military Academy, Newsweek says Stosz has been "knocking down gender barriers in the U.S. Military since she joined more than 30 years ago."

What an honor and so long over due for women to reach this level in their career. Congratulations USCG Rear Admiral Sandra Stosz, hope you continue in your effort to being about positive changes wherever life leads you and including the USCGA expansion efforts within New London, Connecticut.
