The New London City Council will wrap up its budget process on Tuesday, taking a vote on setting the tax rate for the 2014 fiscal year.

The Council approved an $81,979,980 budget for municipal services and New London Public Schools on May 21. The mill rate, or tax per $1,000 of assessed value, proposed under this budget would be a 3.38 percent increase from 26.6 to 27.5.

The meeting will also determine an appropriation and tax rate for the City Center District. The proposed appropriation for the organization is $100,000 for the 2014 fiscal year.
