Brrr! It's Cold on Deck Aboard Barque Eagle

The U.S. Coast Guard ship hugs the Northeast coastline as it heads for home in New London.

Think it's cold here? The U.S. Coast Guard's Barque Eagle encountered some nasty weather on its journey back to port in New London. This photo posted on Facebook shows a bundled up LTJG Jackie Ramirez, who had the unpleasant task of standing watch as the deck officer. Eagle hugged the coast of New Jersey and Long Island to find a lee and reduce the wind and sea state. Brrrr!
