STMHS Competes at Ocean Bowl

For the first time, the Science & Technology Magnet High School Ocean Science Bowl Team competed in the Quahog Bowl at UCONN Avery Point on Saturday, February 1. Freshman Brynn Doughty captained the team and was joined by freshman Moli Michel, sophomore Jason Hicks, and juniors Nate Bowe and Matt Duffield. Collaboratively this team put forth tremendous enthusiasm and effort.

“Although they did not win, they had an outstanding time in a day highlighted by match ups against some of the top teams in the region including a heart-stopping near comeback against the eventual champion (Coginchaug Regional High School)," science teacher and team coach Chuck Mulligan said.
