REGATTAS RAISE OVER $60,000 FOR HOSPICE

Norwich, CT (July 2013) – In July, sailors from Mystic River Mudheads, Niantic Bay Yacht Club, Stonington Dinghy Club and Thames Yacht Club raced and raised funds to benefit Center for Hospice Care.  Fundraisers range from junior racers and brothers Iain and Logan Jaeger of Stonington Dinghy Club who raised over $1,700 to seasoned Mudhead racers Toby Halsey and Courtney Moore who raised nearly $5,000 for this organization.

In addition to the races, the Mystic River Mudheads held their annual MegaParty to benefit Center for Hospice Care.  Over 400 people attended this event including Senator Richard Blumenthal.  Courtesy of Senator Blumenthal, one lucky prize drawing participant won breakfast for four with the Senator and a tour of the Senate offices and the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

These combined events have raised over $60,000 for Center for Hospice Care.
