Mystic Aquarium Camp Receives ACA Accredited Camp Status

The American Camp Association, New England is pleased to announce the recent Accreditation of the Mystic Aquarium Summer Camp. Located in Mystic, CT, the Mystic Aquarium offers multiple coed summer camp for children and teens between the ages of 3-16.

The Mystic Aquarium Summer Camp program offers a variety of week-long day and overnight sessions with different themes for children interested in exploring animals, nature, and even marine biology. Camp programs include the Sea Stars Camp, Dino-Sea, Ocean Explorers, Animal Adventure, Underwater Exploration, Marine Madness, Mystic River Adventure, Aqua Camp, a Week in the Life of a Marine Biologist, and the Aquarium Experience.  Mystic Aquarium Summer Camp is dedicated to a unique camp experience where campers learn through hands-on experiences, activities, and animal encounters while interacting with peers and participating in fun projects and field-trips.

American Camp Association’s (ACA) Accreditation is a mark of distinction from the only national nonprofit organization accrediting camps. Administering the ACA Accreditation program in New England is a key way that ACA New England supports campers, camp seekers, parents and professionals. The Mystic Aquarium Summer Camp went through a comprehensive and thorough review to achieve their ACA Accredited camp status. Neighboring Camp Claire in Lyme, CT, was another newly Accredited camp for this year.
