Parents SEE (Parents Supporting Educational Excellence) trains parents and other community members to support and advocate for the education of children.
Training topics include leadership, partnering, educational processes, and civic involvement.
This free program is available to participants throughout southeastern Connecticut, includes a half day retreat, 12 evening sessions, graduation, meals, and childcare.
Parents SEE will be implemented from September through December 2012, at the Martin Center in New London.

Parents SEE will be facilitated through New London Youth Affairs, supported by the CT Commission on Children, CT Center for School Change, State Education Resource Center, and CT Parent Information and Resource Center. Liberty Bank Foundation, United Way of Southeastern CT, and Children's First New London also have partnered with Youth Affairs coordinated parent leadership training.
