Kasprzaks Donate $1,000 From Book
Proceeds To Camp Horizons
Tom and Joanne Kasprzak, co-authors of the book
"Plain Vanilla with Rainbow Sprinkles" distributed $1,000 of the book proceeds to Horizons. The book, which chronicles their daughter, Mary’s’ incredible life and the mystical events surrounding her death, was published in January 2009. All proceeds from the book are donated to charities in their daughter’s honor, who passed away in 2003. Tom and Joanne speak nationally with Kerry Keenan, who received the gift of Mary's heart, on various topics including the dignity of each life and the importance of organ and tissue donation. Tom and Joanne live in East Lyme, CT.
Tom presented a motivational speech to their counselors
and staff on June 23, the day previous to Horizon’s first campers arriving for
summer.
