Daily Five: Post Office Use, McDonald's, Opinions Board

Five things to know for April 15

1. Mostly cloudy in the morning, but the sun becomes more dominant later in the day. The high temperature hits 52 degrees. Sunrise is 6:08 a.m., sunset is 7:29 p.m.

2. The City Council holds a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall on the proposed plan for the Post Office, then a regular meeting with topics including funds transfers and executive sessions on pending litigation and former Fire Chief Ron Samul’s retirement benefits. Things start off with the Administration Committee at 5 p.m. on resignations and appointments to boards and commissions as well as the Finance Committee at 5:30 p.m. to review the third quarter audit, status of the operational audit, and emergency radio communications.

3. Free oral, head, and neck cancer screenings continue at from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital tonight. Check out their event posting to learn more.
