Last week’s premiere was so great. They gave us so much character development and background, but in such an easy-to-digest way, and great musical numbers! Tonight, “Ivy and Karen work to please the director as they pursue their dream role; Julia and Frank struggle with the adoption process; Eileen works to finance the musical.”

Alcatraz, 9 p.m., Fox

Let’s move it along a little here, people. I’m fine with one inmate or guard per episode, but let’s get going on the back story a little more. Don’t employ Lost’s glacial pace of divulging important information.

Fashion Police, 10 p.m., E!

The Grammys wrap-up. This is always good because musicians have such bad taste.
