Poll: The Most Romantic Restaurant In New London And Waterford
Which of these six choices is the best place to take your sweetheart on Valentine's Day?
If there's one thing we can learn from our latest "food fight" between New London and Waterford, it's that our readers care a lot more about pizza than they do about romance. Or perhaps that it's a little tougher to find a place with that appropriate ambiance than it is to find a good slice of pepperoni.
The upside to this is that the smaller pool this time around means we're more than happy to include all the nominees in this running. Of your 29 nominations, a total of four New London restaurants and two Waterford restaurants got the nod for the most romantic restaurant in the two-community zone.
Tied for the top earners were On The Waterfront and Tony D's, each of which got eight nominations. Filomena's had five nominations, Chaplin's had four, and Caffe NV and Dev's On Bank Street were tied with two.
We didn't get a single complaint this time around, so if you're looking for a place to take your Valentine's Day date you might want to make a reservation before these all fill up. But when it comes to the romantic atmosphere, which of these restaurants makes you swoon? Cast your vote in our poll through 5 p.m. on Friday; we'll announce the winner on Saturday!

The Commoner is also a wonderful, romantic, new restaurant. Located on Bank St.; it has great food and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The food is delicious and affordably priced.
